From the Homefront

Amana:  The reviews  are in and this show is making its  mark on all who have come to see it.   The Cedar Rapids Gazette stated:  "The play, which runs through Nov. 15  onstage in the former Amana Barn  Restaurant, is actually two one-act  plays that could stand alone, but are  even more powerful when performed  together. "

The Iowa City Theatre Blogsite wrote:  "The  second act of From the Homefront,  called Victory Garden, gives us the  men's perspective as the husbands of  the wives in the first act delve into  deep issues of duty and honor and  the importance of childhood... Both  actors handle their roles expertly and  the contrast between the two is fun to  watch."

The Amana Colonies  Bulletin also reviewed the show  saying:  "...the play is a humorous, yet  moving tribute to those who kept the  home fires burning during World War  II."
